Los Medanos College has teamed up with TimelyMD, the leading virtual health and well-being solution in higher education, to offer students free and equitable access to medical and mental health support through the TimelyCare platform.
TimelyCare serves as a 24/7 virtual extension of campus health and counseling center resources, with a goal of improving student well-being, engagement, and retention.
Through TimelyCare on their 电话 or other device, Los Medanos College students can now select from a wide-ranging menu of virtual care options from licensed 医生和 counselors in all 50 states – at no cost and without the hassle of traditional insurance – including:

The partnership with TimelyMD allows Los Medanos College to deliver a hybrid model of clinical care that combines the best of in-person and virtual care services. Benefits to students include:
- 方便的全天候护理 – Physical and mental health issues often present themselves outside regular business hours, and TimelyCare makes seeking support or treatment as easy and convenient as making a video or 电话 call. Nationally, about 40% of mental health care visits through TimelyCare occur after hours.
- 减少等待时间 – Typical consultations for on-demand services through TimelyCare begin within 5-10 minutes – less than the amount of time it takes to walk across campus.
- 多样化的供应商网络 – In addition to being from diverse backgrounds, TimelyMD providers are trained to be culturally competent. For example, more than 60% of mental health providers are BIPOC, and the platform also offers providers who identify as LGBTQ+, speak multiple languages and/or celebrate various religious traditions. Students can choose to meet with a specific provider or select the first available.

You will continue to have access to Timely Care after not being enrolled to the college for a year (fall and spring terms).

过量用药可能发生在任何地方。 Narcan Nasal Spray is used in the event of a suspected narcotic (opioid) overdose. The LMC 基本需求 Center, in partnership with Contra Costa Health Services, have installed stand boxes to provide nasal spray kits to all LMC students and employees. The Narcan Nasal Spray can be accessed at the Pittsburg Campus, Student Union and the 布伦特伍德中心 Commons Area.
In addition, testing strips are available in the LMC Marketplace and Student Life Office (Pittsburg Campus).
Naloxone online and 帆布 trainings occur throughout the semester and are open to all to participate in Opiod Overdose Prevention and Naloxone (Narcan) Training. Upon completion of this training, participants may receive a free Naloxone (Narcan) kits (based on available supply) to help reduce Opiod overdose deaths in our communities. Our goal is to train and equip as many employees and students as possible.
