19岁的Tenisha Manoharan比大多数人更早地关注自己的未来。 As a high school sophomore, she discovered dual enrollment courses (free college credit classes) at Los Medanos College. 她擅长。 And at 16 she enrolled as a full-time Mustang, attending classes at the 布伦特伍德中心.

She credits the LMC’s Honors Program, MESA, and Transfer Center for providing the resources and encouragement she needed to stay the course and finish on top of her game. She embraced leadership opportunities with student government as a member of LMCAS and the local chapter of Future Business Leaders of America. Her involvement in Student Life gave her a chance to shine, organizing campuswide events and representing the college at two national conferences.

At LMC, “I learned never to underestimate community college, to say yes to opportunities, and how one opportunity can change the direction of your life,” she said. “Los Medanos College is where I found my friends, community, mentors, and followed my passion for business.”
