为人父母是一段旅程。 为了收支平衡而工作是一段旅程。 Attaining higher education is a journey. Lesieli Pomale, 31, embarked on a voyage traversing a course that included all three pursuits from the only place she knew she could – Los Medanos College.

“I chose Los Medanos College because it offers a supportive environment for student parents like me,” she said. “I knew it would be a place where I could balance my responsibilities as a mom while pursuing my education. The friendships I built with other student-parents kept me motivated and inspired… The programs here, like bgi的 and CARE, have been instrumental in helping me stay on track.”

Pomale, who this spring graduates with associate degrees for 澳门威尼斯人网上赌场 in behavioral science and social science, plans to attend University of Massachusetts Global to complete her bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology, then pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. She said she wants to focus on trauma and family therapy, and work with underserved communities.

As she prepares for her next steps, Pomale is reflecting on some life lessons she learned at LMC.
